The William (Bill) C. The scholarship will support residents of Trumbull County who are pursuing a degree in business while attending Kent State Trumbull. Special consideration will be given to students who are involved in volunteer activities within the local community.

Horton was born July 23, 1933, in Warren, Ohio.  Before retiring in 1997, he owned and operated Horton Electrical Contracting Inc.  He was a member of Southington United Methodist Church, IBEW, Trumbull 100, Boy Scouts of America, past president of the Builders Association, SCOPE, past master of West Farmington Masonic Lodge 57, past president of Children's Rehabilitation Board, Southington Township Water Board, Warren Rotary (Paul Harris Fellow), Salvation Army Board, Trumbull Shrine Club, Buckeye Club, Buckeye Investors and Air Force Community Council.  He passed away August 28, 2013.
