GENERAL INFORMATION 

  • The Kent/Blossom Music Festival is open to musicians of all ages, ranging from talented high school conservatory students to post-doctoral professionals.
  • Participants will arrive on campus before 4 p.m. the first day of the festival for registration.
  • Final event will conclude in the evening on the last day of the festival.
  • Festival Costs:
    • Program Fee: a payment of $900 must be received by May 15, 2017
      • Scholarships are available and awarded based on financial need.
    • Housing Accommodations: KSU Residence Hall, $1,100 per student
    • Parking: $25 (if you plan to have a vehicle on campus)
    • Meals (on your own, estimated cost): $475 (this is not a fee due to KBMF)

DEADLINE

The application deadline is MARCH 15, 2017. Recommendation letters should be submitted no later than MARCH 15, 2017. An application fee is due at the time of submission, as indicated below.

APPLICATION FEE

A non refundable fee of $50.00 can be paid by credit card when you submit your online application. Information will be submitted securely. All major credit cards are accepted (American Express, Discover, Master Card and Visa.) There are no fee waivers.

LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION

The online application requires each applicant to provide the name and email address of one person who has agreed to provide electronic recommendations. We encourage your instructors to complete the recommendation letter by MARCH 15, 2017 since they are an important part of the admission process.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS

Every applicant is required to upload VIDEO recordings at the time of application submission.
