Whether you choose the AABI accredited Aeronautics program or the ATMAE accredited Applied Engineering or Construction Management programs, we have a program designed to develop highly prepared, employable graduates. With facilities like the KSU airport, air traffic control simulator, foundry, CAD and computer labs, 3D prototyping, mechatronics, electronics, hydraulics, energy and power, construction techniques labs and many internship and co-op opportunities, our students receive practical experience so they are job ready upon graduation.


Aeronautics

The Aeronautics Program at Kent State University has a vision born of a fundamental mandate to serve as the leading academic program in aviation at the tertiary level in Ohio. As such, the Aeronautics Program strives to advance aviation by providing an outstanding education in aviation that produces a cadre of highly competent professionals to operate the National Airspace System in the 21st century and beyond.

Aerospace Engineering

The Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering focuses on the application of engineering principles to the design, manufacturing and functionality of aerospace vehicles such as aircraft, missiles and spacecraft, to include autonomous and semi-autonomous unmanned aerial systems.

Construction Management

The Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management is a management oriented technical curriculum built upon a balanced program of studies drawn from a variety of disciplines related to construction management. Included are a strong knowledge and understanding of construction safety, document reading, estimating, and scheduling. This program is ATMAE accredited.
