Today’s Makers, Tomorrow’s Life Changers

Kent State University Design Innovation MakerGirl 2021

Kent State University is offering this event in partnership with MakerGirl, a nonprofit working to bridge the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math by educating girls ages 7-14 through STEM workshops. While MakerGirls target audience is girls ages 7-14, we are not gendered exclusive and welcome boys and nonbinary students to register. Learn more at https://makergirl.us/.

Join us at the new Kent State Design Innovation Hub for MakerGirl!
Participants will:

  • Learn about 3D printing and real-world applications in the fashion industry
  • Have hands-on training with Tinkercad for CAD design
  • Be introduced to famous women in STEM
  • Create a unique 3D printed design and receive it in the mail
