Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies

For many students with previous college credit, the BTAS is the quickest and most flexible path to graduation. If you are currently employed, but have been unable to apply for promotions or other positions because you have not completed a bachelor’s degree… the BTAS is for you! Let a Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies put you on the path to the promotion you’ve been waiting for!

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology

The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects occupations in information technology will add more than 500,000 new jobs over the next 10 years. Not bad for a career with a national median annual wage of $86,320. The BSIT degree at Kent State provides students with an applied approach to learning that is focused on supporting end users in a variety of workplace settings.

Bachelor of Science in Insurance Studies

As a student in Insurance Studies, you will learn about all of the facets of the insurance world and be prepared to tackle any challenges awaiting the industry as a whole. This degree will also prepare you to succeed on the national licensure exams, as well as introduce you to the variety of jobs in the industry. The B.S. in Insurance Studies will put you on the path to success in your insurance industry career.

Additional Requirements

Eastern Gateway transfer students must complete the same degree requirements as all students at Kent State. You may have already completed many of these classes at Eastern Gateway. Eligible credits can be transferred to meet these requirements.

Online Learning at Kent State

E-learning is unparalleled at Kent State University

Kent State University online students have access to the same resources as on-campus students, without ever stepping foot on campus. From advising to graduation, Kent State provides the tools to complete these tasks online. 

Although there are no on-campus requirements, EGCC online students are more than welcome to visit a Kent State University campus (take a virtual tour of our Kent campus online). You will also be invited to various events throughout your time at Kent State, including graduation (Commencement) ceremonies.
