UNIVERSITY COMMITTED TO RESTORING CANCELED REGISTRATIONS

We sincerely apologize for the stress and inconvenience caused by the unintended canceling of some students’ class schedules. Kent State University will restore these class schedules to where they were prior to the cancellation notice that affected students received on Thursday, Aug. 11.

Over the weekend, employees from the Bursar’s, Student Financial Aid and Registrar’s offices will be working diligently to restore each affected student’s class registrations. All class schedules will be restored by Tuesday, Aug. 16, at noon, and then registration will be reopened. For now, the registration system remains closed to ensure that these class schedules are accurately restored.

The course cancellation is not related to and does not impact financial aid or any other services such as residence hall fees or dining plans. Students do not need to contact their academic advisors. The deadline to pay any outstanding balance without a penalty has now been moved back to Aug. 21.

We appreciate our students’ patience as we work through this problem. For now, there is no action required on the part of the students.

In the meantime, students may call the Bursar’s Office with questions at 330-672-2626, option 1, or email bursar@kent.edu. We also have posted some FAQs on our homepage at www.kent.edu/bursar/update-regarding-email-about-registration-cancellations. We will contact students when we have additional information to share, and we will post updates via www.kent.edu.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience.
