CCI Spring 2018 Research Colloquium to Highlight the Process of a Research Agenda

The next Spring 2018 CCI Research Colloquium presentation will take place at 2:15 p.m. on Friday, April 6, in Rm. 332 of the University Library.

Danielle Sarver Coombs, Ph.D., the College of Communication and Information interim associate dean for research and graduate education, will present her research titled, “Developing a Research Agenda: Aston Villa Football Club, Foreign Ownership, and Fandom.”

Coombs will be tracing the trajectory of this research over a 10-year period, highlighting how to develop multiple publication offshoots from a research project.

“Students may often look at research projects as a one-time thing, but this topic helps students think about their research productivity as a career-long endeavor, rather than project by project,” Coombs said.

The presentation is free of charge and all are invited to attend. The colloquium series provides an opportunity for faculty, students, staff and affiliates to foster intellectual and collaborative discussions, and to stay informed about current CCI research efforts.
