The College of Communication and Information (CCI) prepares students for careers in the fields of digital sciences (working with computer technology), digital film and media production, broadcast journalism, multimedia magazine journalism, graphic design, photography, photojournalism, communication studies, public relations, advertising, user experience design (UXD), web design and development, data analysis and social media management. The College of Communication and Information is made up of the School of Communication Studies (COMM), School of Digital Sciences (DS), School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC), School of Visual Communication Design (VCD) and the graduate School of Information (iSchool). The CCI Info Session is led by a college professional and broadly covers the programs and opportunities in all four of our schools with undergraduate majors.

Communication Studies Majors (COMM)
Communication Studies’ graduates are prepared to meet the challenges of today’s workplace—from international organizations, pre-law and politics, human resources, nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, marketing and business, and so much more. The School of Communication Studies offers concentrations in Applied Communications, Global Communications, Media and Society and Relational and Workplace Communication. Journalism & Mass Communication Majors (JMC)
Prospective JMC students and their guests will join us for a guided tour of Franklin Hall, our modern, multimedia facility and home of the School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC). They will see our HD digital TV studio, media newsroom where print, broadcast and multimedia intersect, and learn more about the JMC majors. Students and guests will have the opportunity to observe a TV broadcast following the tour.

Visual Communication Design Majors (VCD)
