The Campus Kitchen at Kent State University (CKKSU).
The Campus Kitchen at Kent State University is a local chapter of the national Campus Kitchens Project based in Washington, D.C. Our organization specifically strives to relieve hunger in Portage County and the surrounding community. We use locally sourced food to prepare nutritionally balanced meals for social service agencies like Kent Social Services. Student volunteers are in control throughout the entire process, from food sourcing to food delivery. Simultaneously, CKKSU furthers sustainability by using food from dining halls that would otherwise go to waste.
