Fall21 Doctoral Forum Retreat Recap

Fall 2021 Doctoral Forum Retreat was held virtually on Saturday, October 30, 2021 via Teams. This is the second time we held the Doctoral Forum Retreat online. We had over 30 doctoral students participating in the event, including those outside of the US!

The retreat went from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m..  Paul J. Geis walked the students through the process of submiting for publications and preparing for conference presentations. Students learned from Vanessa Earp, doctoral student and EHHS Librarian, how to conduct literature review and organize the information effectively. And lastly, Laura Riddle, Graduate Student Funds Special Assistant and Claire Jackman, Executive Chair for Graduate Student Services, shared information about accessability and timeline for scholarships and funding for doctoral students.
