    Kent Fashion School junior, Symone Baskerville, came in first place in the 2018 LaunchNET Idea Olympics last month, for her fabric store idea titled, “Kent Fabrics”.

The Kent State University Museum held its fifth annual “Fashion Meets the Botanicals” event at the Cleveland Botanical Garden on March 3, 2018. Over 100 guests attended the event, making it the largest crowd the event has ever had.

A team of four students from the Kent State University Fashion School were announced as finalists for the Flimar Colorama Awards. Students from all over the world participated in the competition; the Fashion School team was one of just 15 finalists in the world to be accepted.

“Inspiring creative and resourceful fashion leaders” is the Kent State University Fashion School motto, and one of the many courses helping to make this motto a reality is the senior level BA Fashion Design Studio III course.
