Archana Mehta

Archana Mehta has served as faculty in the School of Fashion from 2006 and as NTT faculty since 2014. She has taught a wide range of lecture and studio courses like Fashion Visuals, Fashion Fabrics, Basics of Apparel Construction, Flat Pattern and Draping, Junior Design Studio, Machine Knitting, M1 Plus and Create Plus Stoll Knitting programs, and Fashion Visuals. From spring 2020 to 2025, she supervised external design competitions and scholarships and helped students get more than $150,000 in scholarships and grants. Archana began her career in the Indian garment-export industry before joining academia. She taught at Pearl Academy of Fashion, New Delhi and was guest faculty at National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India before joining the School of Fashion at Kent State University. Archana is interested in sustainable design and fashion activism.
