Kent State Salem’s City Center received the 2014 Sunflower Award from the Salem Beautification Committee of the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce.
The award recognizes the building’s neatly maintained entryways and sidewalks, its clean windows and its aesthetically pleasing façade.
Employees Frank Fife and Deb Hoopes received thanks from Salem’s Assistant Dean Dr. Celeste Oprean, who recognized the pair’s dedicated work. “They take great pride in making this building shine and their work is now recognized by the community,” she said.
