American College Testing
The ACT-Residual is available to students seeking admission to Kent State and measures knowledge in English, Math, Reading, and Science Reasoning.
Test Information
Only students who are submitting an application for admission to Kent State may take the ACT Residual. Test scores can ONLY be reported to a Kent State office such as Admissions, Regional Campus Admissions, or Pre-College Programs (College Credit Plus).
Students wishing to take the National ACT may locate a testing center at multiple U.S. and international locations.
Cost
The test fee is $60.00 payable by credit/debit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) upon registration. The test fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
Candidates who cancel, no-show, or need to reschedule may do so within 90 days and pay a $30 reschedule fee. Tests rescheduled after 90 days of the original registration date must submit the full $60 registration fee.
Requirements
Acceptable photo ID must present to take the test.
This ID may be an original, current (valid) ID used by a city/state/federal government agency or your school.
Note: School ID must be in hard plastic card format.
Paper or electronic formats are NOT acceptable.
The photo must be clearly recognizable as you.
Non-prohibited calculators are allowed during the Math section.
Test scores are based on the number of questions answered correctly during the time allowed for that test.
You will NOT be penalized for guessing if you do not know the answer.
It is to your advantage to answer every question even if you must guess.
