What will it cost to take a class at Kent State this summer?

One of my parents is employed by Kent State. Will I be able to use his/her tuition benefits to take Summer classes?

Yes, assuming you and your parent meet the criteria for dependent tuition benefits. For more information on accessing tuition waiver benefits visit the University Benefits website or contact the Benefits Department at 330-672-3107 or benefits@kent.edu.

Can I get financial aid for Summer classes?

If you are a Kent State student, you must submit your Financial Aid Enrollment Plans within the Scholarships & Financial Aid section in FlashLine. 

If you are not a Kent State student, you should contact the financial aid office at your home institution to determine if aid is available for courses taken at another institution. 

Can I use veteran’s benefits to cover the cost of Summer classes?

You may be eligible to do so. All questions regarding veteran's benefits should be directed to the Center for Adult and Veteran Services at 330-672-7933.
