    Biography

    Hossein Mirinejad, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering at Kent State University, Kent, OH. Prior to joining Kent State, he was a Research Fellow at the Food and Drug Administration from 2017 to 2019 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Michigan—Ann Arbor from 2016 to 2017. 

    Research Interests:

    My research focuses on advancing autonomous systems by integrating AI, machine learning, control theory, and dynamical systems modeling. With primary applications in healthcare and robotics, my work develops safe and interpretable autonomy for critical human life support systems while also contributing to fundamental advances in machine learning and automatic control.
