Biography
Originally from Pennsylvania, Dr. Joshua R. Myers has lived in different parts of the U.S. which reflects his fascination with how cultural representations, like literature and film, portray concepts of geography, place, and rurality. He also specializes in the study of environments and ecologies in American literature, likely a critical focus developed from his solitary habit of bringing books on long nature hikes. In addition to teaching, Dr. Myers has held various positions as a research assistant, critic, reporter, editor, and has spent much of his life on different sides of bookstore sales counters.
