											Biography
My teaching interests focus on connections between people and our planet. I'm especially interested in how we can use environmental education to inspire a deeper appreciation for the world around us. I have researched relationships between culture and environment, and how different communities view and interact with their surroundings. Ultimately, a big part of what I do focuses on conservation and sustainability and trying to find ways for us to live in balance with the natural world.
I teach a variety of classes that explore these topics. Physical Geography, Natural Disasters and Society, Nature and Society, Field Experience in Geography.
