Celebrating Flash and Recognizing Those Who Brought Him to Life 

We’re throwing a party at Homecoming — and it’s for a very special bird! This year’s theme is Flash’s Birthday Bash, and we’re honoring those who helped bring our beloved mascot to life. 

As part of the celebration, we’re proud to recognize those who have served as Flash over the years. These individuals energized crowds, spread Golden Flash pride and created unforgettable memories — all while wearing the costume that represents the heart of Kent State.

Just like all Golden Flashes, our mascots embody spirit and joy – and bring heart to our community especially at Homecoming. Whether cheering from the sidelines, marching in the parade or dancing in the stands, our community continues to embody the spirit that makes Kent State shine.
