Student Paper Awards

Demonstrating their knowledge and creativity in their chosen areas of study, students in the iSchool submit papers in the spring. Winners are chosen and up to five awards of $1,000 each are given to the papers judged best.

    Calvin Adkins (he/him) is a Kent State M.L.I.S. student with a focus on public and children’s librarianship. He works at the Lorain campus of Cleveland Public Library as a Public Services Associate, and he’s incredibly proud of the work he and his awesome coworkers do to serve their community.

    Jennifer Danzo

    Jennifer Danzo, PT, DPT, is an experienced physical therapist and a Health Informatics graduate student at Kent State University. At Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy, she has developed interactive educational modules that enhance clinician competency and improve patient outcomes.

    Annu Gupta is a passionate and forward-thinking KSU M.S. Health Informatics student dedicated to improving healthcare delivery through innovative data strategies. With a background in dentistry, clinical documentation improvement and medical coding auditing, Annu brings a deep understanding of the intersection between clinical practice and data integrity.

  • Robert Soucek

    Robert Soucek

    Robert Soucek is a current M.L.I.S. student with an Archival concentration at the Kent iSchool, holding a B.A. in history from John Carroll University. Accompanying Robert’s enrollment in the iSchool M.L.I.S. program, he is heavily engaged in family history and biography-writing, having carried out biographical research on three unpublished independent studies since undergrad.
