Five Kent State University graduates will compete at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics over the coming weeks, breaking the school’s previous record of four Olympians at the Munich Games in 1972. The quintet will represent four different countries with Reggie Jagers III being the first Golden Flash to don the Team USA uniform since Kim Kreiner in 2008. The Canadian duo of Corey Conners and Mackenzie Hughes will be Kent State’s first alumni in action. This fall, Kent State University at Trumbull began offering Trumbull Correctional Institution incarcerated individuals a chance to complete a Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies (BTAS).
