A part of the university’s Strategic Roadmap to a Distinctive Kent State, all Kent State campuses will be smoke- and tobacco-free beginning July 1, 2017, fostering the wellbeing of the university community and the environment. Starting July 1, 2017, all Kent State University campuses will become smoke-free and tobacco-free. The new policy applies to all students, employees, volunteers, vendors, and visitors on all Kent State property locally and abroad. The policy is in alignment with the university’s healthy campus initiative.
