The CCI Diversity Team (the Team) serves as an advisory board for the CCI Academic Diversity Outreach Coordinator. The Team is comprised of dedicated faculty, staff and students from all schools within the College of Communication and Information who have volunteered to assist in the development and implementation of diversity initiatives in our college.

The McNair Scholars Program is a federal TRIO program funded at 151 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico by the U.S. Department of Education. It is designed to prepare undergraduate students for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. The goal of the McNair Scholars Program is to increase graduate degree awards for students from underrepresented segments of society.

How can you make a positive impact?
For CCI Diversity Week 2018, students, faculty, and staff around the university were asked to reflect on how they could make a positive impact in the world. They wrote their impact on a little hand and added it to the display to show how they could lend a hand and be the change they wish to see.
