The Kent State University Board of Trustees approved a tuition guarantee plan that will provide students and their families certainty in budgeting for college tuition, mandatory fees, and room and board, including meal plans. Mr. Rathje comes to Kent State from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he has served as associate vice chancellor and chief information officer. Road work on Summit Street will stop for the next few months, but it will resume again in the spring as the two-year project comes to a close.     Two-way traffic is scheduled to resume throughout the entire construction area in time for the start of the spring semester on Jan. 16, providing better access for motorists and pedestrians during the winter months. Applications for the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) will be accepted from Jan. 22-Feb. 19. Faculty members are encouraged to share this information with their students. Students interested in developing critical thinking skills, working one-on-one with a faculty mentor, exploring their chosen career field and more should apply.
