Flashes Forever: Keep up with Kent State after graduation

Commencement is an exciting event that often can be both a bittersweet end and an exciting new beginning. This weekend the next group of Golden Flashes will walk across the stage into the next chapter of their lives.

Just because your educational journey is over (at least for now), it doesn’t mean you can’t keep up with your alma mater. After all, you are #FlashesForever!

The Kent State Alumni Association has a chapter for everyone. There are eight chapters across the country along with three special interest chapters -- band members, black alumni and LGBTQ -- to stay connected to the Kent State family. The Alumni Association has a ton to offer, including networking events, traveling opportunities, discounts and rewards.

We’ve compiled a list of ways to stay in touch with your fellow former Flashes on social media.

Follow the Kent State University Alumni Facebook Page to stay informed about Kent State. There you can see the latest news from the university, along with photos of campus and fellow Kent State graduates. Also find a calendar of events for the chapter of your choosing.

Follow @KSUAlumni on Twitter to get updates about Kent State news, events and other alums in real time. They often retweet the various Kent State Alumni chapters, so you’re likely to come across news or an event of interest.

Follow @KSUAlumni on Instagram to take part in regular giveaways and see fun photos and videos about your alma mater. Here you can see posts about everything from Golden Flash couples to Kent State legacies to alumni authors.

Kent State has nearly 17,000 alumni listed on their LinkedIn group page, and a networking connection may be just a click away! Here, you can also see and share job postings and participate in discussions.

The Kent State Alumni YouTube Channel has hundreds of fun videos on YouTube to keep subscribers engaged about important topics. In-depth videos range from resume building, post-grad advice, interviews with celebrities and even dance-offs! Subscribe and share videos with your friends or on other social media outlets.

We hope you take advantage of a few (or all!) of these accounts to stay connected to the Kent State family.
