Support for Graduate Student Research and Conference Travel

Graduate Student Research Fund

This funding is intended to support Kent State students conducting research on gender equity.

Eligibility Requirements:

You must be:

Enrolled and in good standing in a Masters or Doctoral degree program at Kent State University.
Conducting research on an issue pertinent to women’s rights, health, or status.

Award amount: $500-$1,500

Please Note: As a condition of the scholarship, you must agree to share the results of the research project with the Women’s Center.

This funding is intended to support students looking to enhance their education by attending a conference related to and/or supporting gender equity.

Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis.
Students can apply for funding for no more than one conference within an academic year.
The student agrees to share resources gathered from opportunity through a follow-up reflection survey.
Support will range between $50 - $250 contingent on the availability of funds and the role of the conference.
