Mackenzie (she/her) is a Senior Fashion Merchandising major minoring in Sustainability. This is Mackenzie’s third semester at the Women’s Center and is currently our Senior Director’s Marketing intern! Mackenzie is a passionate gender equity, human rights, and environmental activist. Outside of the Women’s Center she is also the Senior Co Producer of Kent State’s Annual Fashion Show and enjoys sewing, thrifting, and being creative. After graduation she hopes to work within a non-profit sector working towards garment worker labor rights.

Hannah (She/her) is a Senior English Major minoring in Creative Writing, graduating from Kent State in the Spring. Hannah is a Senior Intern at the Women’s Center for the second semester! Hannah is extremely passionate about gender equity, mental health awareness, equality on campus, and so much more, which she tries to showcase through her writing. Hannah hopes to publish articles that will enlighten her audience on often difficult topics. Outside of her work at the Women’s Center, Hannah enjoys reading, creating artwork, and traveling with friends and family! After graduation, Hannah hopes to pursue a career in the publishing industry and publish novels of her own.

Mallory (she/her) is a Junior Political Science major and is one of our programming interns this  semester!   Mallory is passionate about exploring live music, listening to feminist historical podcasts, buying crystals   to expand her ever-growing collection, and reading up on international politics and current affairs. In her   free time, she enjoys baking, skiing, knitting, curling up with a good book, or just playing with her two   amazing dogs. After graduation she hopes to work as an international lawyer representing nonprofit organizations and humanitarian groups across the globe.

Brian (he/him) is a Senior Public Health major with a minor in Africana Studies. He is one of our programming interns this semester! His passions include true crime documentaries, self-care & hygiene, and black pop culture. He also enjoys cooking, baking, singing, shopping, and hanging out with friends. After graduation he hopes to become a Pediatric Nurse and work in underrepresented communities, creating initiatives and programs to serve them with a special focus on the Black community.

 

 

 

Mya (she/her) is a Senior Psychology major with minors in Dance and Marketing. Mya is one of our social media and programming interns this semester! Her passions include dance, music, health and fitness, design & decorating. Outside of interning at the Women’s Center she enjoys dancing, shopping, yoga, meditation, video editing, self-care, and watching tv! After graduation she hopes to dance professionally, work for a dance company, or become a dance-movement therapist!

Andrea (she/her) is a Junior Human Development and Family Science major with a minor in Psychology. Andrea is also a programming intern! Her passions include helping other people and understanding their mindsets and emotional well-being, and being very empathetic. She advocates for positive mental health and reproductive resources and treating everyone with kindness. Outside of the Women’s Center she enjoys playing with her cats and listening to any type of music, especially indie, pop, and hip-hop. She also loves watching funny and scary movies/shows, going thrift shopping, and hanging out with my friends and loved ones. She’s been trying to integrate more yoga and knitting into her life as well! After graduation she hopes to one day work in a field where she can give and aid others, whether that be by teaching, working for a nonprofit, being an advisor or counselor, etc.
