Scholarship Benefits

  • 100% tuition for the length of the scholarship (4yr., 3yr., 2yr.)
  • $1,200 per year book allowance ($600 per semester)
  • $420 monthly stipend

 

Scholarship Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Satisfactory completion of Department of Defense Physical Exam
  • Meet Army height and weight standards
  • Pass an Army Physical Fitness Test
  • Interview with the Professor of Military Science on campus

Obligations

  • Scholarship students usually serve four years Active Duty and four years Reserve or Ready Reserve.
  • Some may serve six years in the Reserve or National Guard and two years Ready Reserve.
  • Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty Scholarships will allow you serve your entire commitment in the Select Reserve (Army National Guard or Army Reserve).

Scholarships and other monetary support are available to help with costs when you join Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC). Focus on your education and graduate into a secure path as an Army Officer—and with less debt for the school years your scholarship covers. You’re eligible if you are a high school student enrolling in college, enrolled in college, or an active-duty enlisted Soldier.

Guaranteed Reserve Forces Duty (GRFD) Scholarships

Still need to pay for college but aren’t looking for a full time commitment and you still want to lead? Let us show you how with the Minuteman Scholarship. Minuteman scholarships require a nomination letter as part of the scholarship packet and offer either full tuition and mandatory fees or a room and board flat rate of $12,000 per year, and cover up to 4 years/8 semesters of benefits, an annual book allowance and a monthly stipend based on their academic year. Minuteman Scholarship Cadets can be nominated from any State Adjutant General (TAG), any Civilian Aid to the Secretary of the Army (CASA), a Mission Support Command (MSC), or an Army Reserve Ambassador in lengths of 2YRs up to 4YRs for a scholarship.
