Description:  A survey of the cultural achievements of the ancient Romans as seen in their literature and art from the Etruscans through the Christians.  Considers the history, government and economy of ancient Rome, and explores life in Roman society, including the aristocracy and the emperors.  Roman families, the military, and various aspects of daily life.
