Luhelen Mercier

I have been a nurse most of my life and can't think of anything I would rather do more,” related Luhelen Mercier, who is transitioning from being a licensed practical nurse to becoming a registered nurse  through the Kent State East Liverpool ADN program.

She graduated from the Canton City Schools Practical Nurse program in 1985 and has worked as an LPN in various healthcare settings.  

"I’ve always been eager to learn more, but due to family commitments, I was unable to do so formally,” Mercier said.  “My children are grown now and I am able to continue my education.  It has been a wonderful experience so far and look forward to the rest of the year.”
