Graduation and Program Outcomes
To be eligible for graduation the student must:
- Have a grade point average of 2.0 or above
- Complete all general, related and occupational therapy assistant courses with a "C" or above
- Successfully complete two level II fieldwork experiences within 18 months of classroom coursework.
Upon successful graduation, the student will be eligible to sit for the certification examination administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, and apply for state licensure.

Please note: A felony conviction may affect a graduate's ability to sit for the NBCOT Certification Examination or apply for state licensure.
After graduation, the graduate is considered an Occupational Therapy Assistant who will be able to:
Demonstrate professional behaviors when interacting with clients, peer and other professional when providing OT services and become life-long learners.
Demonstrate clinical reasoning by integrating clinical experiences with evidence-based practice and personal experience to provide best practice OT services.
Demonstrate support for the client’s desired occupational roles and participation in occupations through a creative, holistic approach and collaborate with inter-professional team member to provide distinct valued services to each client based on individual needs.
Demonstrate support for at risk individuals, groups and populations who are in the community to identify resources and opportunities for improving engagement in occupations.
