The featured soloist this year is Marla Berg, assistant professor of voice and director of the Kent State University opera program.

Following the concert, the Creative Learning Center: The Salem Storybook Museum Revisited will host a reception in its first-floor location within the City Center with cookies, hot chocolate, a visit from Santa and a display showcasing its collection of original illustrations from children’s books.

Kent State Salem students from the early childhood education program will host a craft station for children.

Collection boxes will be set up for donations of new, unwrapped toys for the U.S. Marine’s Toys for Tots campaign.
