Gluten Free Options
A gluten-free diet excludes the protein gluten. Gluten can be found in wheat, barley, rye and other derivatives. The gluten-free diet is primarily used to treat Celiac Disease. University Dining Services provides gluten-free options at many of our locations, including the True Balance station in Eastway Dining Hall and Gluten Solutions Station in the DI HUB Dining Hall. View our brochure below to review all gluten-free options available at Kent State University!
Do you have a food allergy? Our True Balance Station can help!
The True Balance station is designed to assist students with food allergies to make safe and healthy choices while dining on campus. All of the foods in this station are made without 7 of the top 8 most common food allergens, including wheat, soy, eggs, milk, shellfish, peanuts, and tree nuts. Meals served at the True Balance station are prepared in an allergen-free area of the kitchen, including secluded storage areas to eliminate chance of cross-contact. Our goal is to provide students with an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal regardless of their food allergy. You can find our True Balance station in Eastway Fresh Food Company.
If you have a severe food allergy, intolerance, or special dietary accommodation, please consult with the location Manager or Registered Dietitian.
