Carrie Schweitzer received the Outstanding Research and Scholar Award

Dr. Schweitzer is an internationally recognized expert in decapod crustaceans and a prolific scholar – having already published over 120 technical books and papers. Her research in Paleontology centers around systematics and biogeography.  Carrie has worked diligently to develop new ways of using the morphology of the preservable remains of crabs and other decapods to ferret out phylogenetic relationships.
