Biography

Dr. Sainato earned her Doctor of Philosophy in Middle English Literature, her Master's Degree in Teaching, and her Bachelor's Degree in English. Her research areas include Middle English, Early Modern English, Text Linguistics, online learning, and popular literature. She has earned awards and nominations for her teaching. Students selected her as the Distinguished Honors Faculty of 2009 and have nominated her for the KSU College of Arts & Sciences Distinguished Teaching award two times. She continues to teach a variety of literature, writing, and service-learning courses, both online and face-to-face. She is Quality Matters Certified, a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer, and A Quality Matters Master Reviewer. She continues to be active in exploring and applying additional techniques and using best practices in course development for distance learning as she works with the Office of Continuing and Distance Education.
