Details for Checking Out of Housing

Dear Flashes,

Thank you for your understanding as we continue to navigate this challenging, quickly evolving situation to mitigate the effect of COVID-19 on our campus community.

Residence Services remains in constant communication with our campus partners ensuring we are doing all we can to support our residents. More campus information on COVID-19 can be found here: www.kent.edu/coronavirus.

With the recent University update sent today, all residence hall students are strongly encouraged to move off-campus to their home address or another alternative location off campus.

Students who officially checkout of their residence hall room by March 30, 2020 by 5:00 p.m. are eligible for a refund. Details regarding room and board refunds are still being determined and will be provided at a later date.

If you are unable to return to your permanent residence or an alternative housing arrangement, you can submit a Permission to Stay Request. Residence Services will respond to requests on a rolling basis.
