Airports/Arrivals

Recommended Airports

The following two airports are within the closest proximity to the Kent campus:

  1. Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (airport code: CLE)
  2. Akron-Canton International Airport (airport code CAK)

See location maps below.

Most students choose to fly into Cleveland which is approximately 50 minutes by car or taxi to Kent. The smaller, regional Akron-Canton airport is closer - approximately 30 minutes - but offers fewer connections with international flights.

The websites for both airports provide information about local taxi, bus, shuttle and other transportation services which you can hire to take you to campus. Services within both airports can also assist with transportation arrangements upon your arrival.

Students must arrive before or on the Program Start Date.
For example: if the Program Start Date is August 18, the student may arrive in the US up to 30 days before—the earliest date being July 19.

Check for any travel restrictions that may be in place prior to arranging your flight information. Travel restrictions are announced at any point. Students should check the information provided by their countries, U.S. consulates/embassies, Study in the States, the U.S. Department of State.
