Greetings!
What a year 2020 has been for all of us! We faced challenges and unusual circumstances in our personal and professional lives, mostly because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also because of social and economic issues. We were tested. We were challenged. We were part of history. It was a tough year!
But, we are working through it. I am quite proud of the way the Kent State Columbiana County campuses responded to the pandemic and how everyone pulled together to make it happen: staff, faculty, students and community members. They were the lights that shone during some of our darkest days: Flashes taking care of Flashes.
This is the time of year when kindness, compassion and a sense of peace seem to surround us. People tend to be kinder to one another and a season of reflection makes us appreciate all that is good in our lives. The unending support to the East Liverpool and Salem campuses from the community, alumni and individuals is genuinely heartwarming and I am truly grateful for each of you.
Please take some time during this season to refresh and enjoy the beauty around you. I wish you hope, happiness and good health in the new year!
