Jimmy Miller
Biography
Jimmy Miller is an adjunct professor who joined the Kent State School of Media and Journalism team in Fall 2021. He teaches Storytelling Across Platforms.
A 2017 Kent State graduate who has covered anything from sports to landscaping, Miller's bylines include the Center for Public Integrity, Newsweek, NCAA, the Toledo Blade and the Akron Beacon Journal. While he was at Kent State, he served as editor of The Kent Stater, which earned recognition as the best collegiate newspaper in the nation.
After graduating, Miller moved to Toledo and worked at The Toledo Blade, assembling award-winning projects for the publication's new app, Blade NewsSlide. He moved back to Northeast Ohio in 2018 to join GIE Media, where he now serves as associate editor at Lawn & Landscape magazine.
When he's not working at the magazine or teaching, Miller is coaching the speech and debate team at Stow-Munroe Falls High School or he's walking his dog, Beesly.
