The TeleProductions crew helped graduates celebrate at the Fall 2013 Kent State University Commencement ceremony.
“TeleProductions provides key video services for all commencement ceremonies,” said Lashonda Taylor, director of Academic Events and Faculty Initiatives at Kent State University. “Services include capturing the ceremony and projecting it on the large screens in the ceremony… a live stream of the ceremony online and ceremony DVDs.”
The production company has documented this traditional university ceremony for 20 years. TeleProductions Producer/Director Shane Roach said it’s one of the most important projects of the year.
“Some family members cannot attend the ceremony,” Roach said. “Instead of that moment being lost, TeleProductions captures the event so it can be viewed at a later time.”
For the ceremonies, TeleProductions uses its high definition production truck along with four HD cameras to stream and record the commencement ceremonies. It takes seven staff members to produce the professional-grade recording and live stream.
Taylor said that working with TeleProductions is amazing and “they are one of the best departments on campus to work with.”
“We have a personal pride in our service and our university; we have provided top-shelf service for over twenty years. Personally, I hope to continue to grow our service and reach to the university for the next twenty years,” Shane concluded.
