Alessandro Giannozzi

Alessandro Giannozzi earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration at the University of Florence and his Ph.D. in Finance at the University of Trieste. Since 2009 he has been an adjunct professor of Corporate Finance at University of Florence. In 2010 he joined Kent State University to teach Business Finance. He has authored and co-authored several books and papers on finance and company valuation. His main field of study is credit rating estimation and risk management. Some of his publications are: Building SME rating. Is it necessary for lenders to monitor financial statements of the borrowers? (2013); COCO-bonds, conversion prices and risk shifting incentives (2012); Predicting SME default risk. Does regional model make sense?; Company distress in the fashion/textile industry (2009); and Fair value disclosure, liquidity risk and stock returns (2013). In 2007 he authored the credit rating system for Tuscany Region. He is co-organizer of the International Risk Management Conference. He has been consultant and financial advisor for multinational companies in the paper industry, in the wine and fashion sectors.
