Kent State University began the 2026-2027 academic year with new leadership for its Regional Campus System and College of Applied and Technical Studies (CATS).

Natalie MacDonald is driven to help and care for others. As a second-year student in the Associate Degree of Nursing (ADN) program at Kent State East Liverpool, she is well on her way to making a career of doing just that. In the meantime, she found a way to help her fellow nursing students fund their educational journeys: a golf outing.

On one of the hottest days this summer – with temperatures hovering in the high 90s – Lisa Vittorio and her Sunshine Team set up shop near the Kent State East Liverpool Campus and welcomed dozens of local kids to board the Sunshine Bus as they prepared to head back to school.
