Margie Iagulli, M.Ed., R.T. (R),
Full time Faculty, Radiologic Technology

I am the full time faculty member for the Associate of Applied Science degree in the Radiologic Technology program at Kent State University Salem Campus.

My education began at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio where I graduated from the hospital based certificate program in radiologic technology.  After completion of the program, my career path led me to practice at various physician offices in both the Youngstown and Akron areas as a diagnostic radiographer. While working in the Akron area, I completed my B.S. degree in Educational Studies at Kent State University with an emphasis in Allied Health Sciences. In 1989 my occupational endeavors brought me back to St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center to become a radiologic technologist on the afternoon shift.  I was then appointed to the clinical instructor position for the hospital based certificate program, working there for eight years.  In 1997 I was fortunately given the opportunity to become the sole full time instructor at Kent State University Salem Campus Radiologic Technology Program.  While teaching full time I obtained a M.Ed. in Health Education and Promotion in 2002.

My goal is to assist students in discovering and exploring information and activities that will enrich their learning experiences while at Kent State University and their clinical sites. Although the success of the student is waged mostly on their own efforts, I truly believe that enrichment and encouragement is a catalyst to their success. A good teacher–student relationship is imperative to the success of both. It is my hope that with both my encouragement and the student’s dedicated efforts, their career as a radiologic technologist will be rewarding and life changing for themselves and their patients.  It is also my hope that students will carry their educational efforts with them while realizing that learning is a lifelong process.
