Commencement Ceremonies Held on East Liverpool Campus

Eyes on the Future!Commencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the Kent State East Liverpool Campus, during which Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the Kent State Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Susan Rossi, assistant dean for the East Liverpool Campus.

The keynote speaker was Rep. Timothy Ginter, state representative for the 5th Ohio House District.

Approximately 400 degrees were conferred this semester between the East Liverpool and Salem campuses.

Denise A. Seachrist, Ph.D., dean of Kent State University at Salem, announced those students named to the Spring 2025 President’s and Dean’s lists. To qualify for the President’s List, students must have a 4.0 grade point average and must have completed 15 hours during the semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a 3.40 or greater grade point average and must have completed 12 or more credit hours for the semester, the majority at the Salem Campus.

Kent State at Salem held its 2025 nursing convocation and pinning ceremony during which students received their nursing pins and recited the Florence Nightingale pledge. All are receiving degrees this spring and summer through the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program on the Salem Campus.
