Commencement Ceremonies Held on Salem Campus

Caps and GownsCommencement ceremonies were held May 13 for the Kent State Salem Campus. Dr. Steve Nameth, dean of the Kent State Columbiana County Campuses, presided over the event, along with Dr. Celeste Oprean, assistant dean for the Salem Campus.

Students speakers Devyn Rothbrust and Lisa KessegThe keynote speaker was Rep. Timothy Ginter, State Representative for the 5th Ohio House District.

Student speakers included Lisa Kesseg of the Insurance Studies program and Devyn Rothbrust of the Horticulture program.

Nearly 400 degrees were awarded this semester between the Kent State Salem and East Liverpool campuses.All Smiles

Her titles include: coordinator and advisor for the Human Development and Family Science program; academic advisor for the Bachelor of Social Work program; and academic program director for Human Services.  

Kent State at Salem held a White Coat Ceremony for students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, signifying a rite of passage as they transition into the nursing field.

Commencement ceremonies were held May 8 for the Kent State Columbiana County campuses, recognizing 135 graduates from the East Liverpool and Salem campuses who earned associate and bachelor degrees, as well as certificates.
