November 2021 Social Media Recap

November was full of exciting social media content. Here are some of our outstanding posts from the month! 

 

Instagram

Kent Campus in the fall is a sight to see! In our top-performing post, we shared a gallery of photos showcasing the colorful scenes of campus.

On Nov. 11, the university was closed to observe Veterans Day. Our post honoring the service and sacrifice of our veterans was another top-performing post. 

 

Facebook

We shared that 29 current Kent State faculty members were named among the top 2% of scientists in the world based on a recent study from Stanford University scholars. This post received 1,058 reactions as the community joined with us in recognizing our faculty!

 

The Kent State Golden Flashes football team won the Mid-American Conference East Division! After clinching the MAC East title with a 48-47 overtime victory against Miami, the community celebrated this win with 932 reactions, making it one of our top-performing Facebook posts.

 

Twitter

Our most popular tweet was a video showcasing our scenic campus in the fall, which received a total of 183 engagements.

Similar to Instagram, our Veterans Day tweet was the second top-performing tweet. 

 

TikTok

Our TikTok account has been growing, and this month, we gained 71 followers! The TikTok that got the most likes was a tour of campus in the fall, where we used a unique filter to highlight the beautiful colors. 

 

In a TikTok for prospective students, Super Flash makes an appearance to demonstrate the simple application process.
