The Graduate Certificate in Qualitative Research is an 18-credit hour program through which graduate students gain expertise in qualitative research methodology. Graduate students in this program develop understandings and skills as related to designing, conducting, and assessing qualitative research. This is an interdisciplinary certificate with courses offered through many different programs throughout the university.

Our doctoral students gain the expertise to teach courses at the college level, provide leadership in the conduct of research studies, and serve as consultants in research methodology and data analysis in education, industry, and government.
Our master’s degree program is oriented to developing educators and specialists in the areas of assessment, measurement, research design, and program evaluation. The program serves teachers and administrators seeking applied measurement, research, and evaluation skills for use in PK-12 and higher education, as well as professionals seeking careers in the areas of evaluation, research, and psychometrics.
