If you are looking for a fun and unique way to integrate design innovation or making into your curriculum, then look no further than a custom workshop experience at the DI HUB! Our staff will work with you to design, plan, and implement a tailor-made workshop or experience for your students that directly connects the DI HUB’s spaces, equipment, and resources to the learning needs of your students. Custom experiences typically last between 2 and 4 hours and can accommodate a maximum of 30 student participants.
The power of making is intrinsically tied to transforming our students into creative, innovative, and collaborative agents of change. Our maker workshops will introduce your students to one of the many making tools or techniques available in the DI HUB, allowing them to participate in a hands-on project to help them explore, understand, and develop a unique solution to a problem. Topics include 3D printing, laser cutting, microelectronics, and more.
Would you like to turn your students into creative thinkers, innovative problem solvers, and fearless collaborators? Then our Design Innovation workshops are the perfect fit! These workshops introduce your students to the core elements of what we call our Design Innovation Toolkit, which includes strategies such as “Storytelling,” “The Role of Empathy,” “Reframing,” and “Play and the Creative Process.” Design Innovation workshops typically last 2 hours and can accommodate a maximum of 30 student participants.
