Kyndall Gilbert is a junior Honors College student studying biology and pre-medicine at Kent State University. Along with completing her school work and preparing for medical school, she is a crucial member of the Kent State Women’s Gymnastics team, where she primarily competes in the vault bar and floor events. Performing as a student-athlete requires time, dedication, and responsibility. 2022 Rainbow Run 5K

“Best Rainbow Attire,” “Best Rainbow Pet” and best personal records were all tracked at this year’s 7th Annual Rainbow Run at Risman Plaza (and online) on Oct. 7. The Rainbow Run, a 5K hosted by the Kent State LGBTQ+ Center, raises money for the LGBTQ Emergency fund, a service that assists LGBTQ+ students in financial crises. Though there was the obstacle of rain, the run garnered more than $5,000 towards the fund this year with around 200 attendees.
