Rising Scholars Summer Institute at Kent State Stark provides opportunities to experience campus. The Mindful Mile is a 1-mile walk around the Kent campus that is open to faculty, staff and students. There are several stops along the route where participants will engage with various departments and groups to learn about wellness and mindfulness and earn a stamp on their ticket. Kent State University welcomed more than 1,000 new graduates to its alumni family during the summer commencement ceremony Saturday. The university conferred 1,046 degrees, including 122 associate, 558 bachelor's, 304 master's, 61 doctoral and one educational specialist degree.
